Never too late

People worry about a broken bone
But rarely heal their broken home
Eyes wide open to what seems real
Look at your spouse, how do you feel?

Don’t even think to hesitate
You already spoke too late
Words that you never say
Are standing in the way

When you said the words “I do”
How quickly did they pass through?
Did you even look her in the eye?
You say yes, another lie

Your hands are red, her face, black and blue
Tell me sir, what didn’t she do for you?
Look at you tall as you stand
How could you call yourself a man?

Love is what is in her heart
Yet you love to tear it apart
Lay a hand not to strike
But lay a hand to make it right

Seek the Lord before it’s too late
Don’t even try to concentrate
Now sir it is you to be broken
Listen to what he has spoken

It’s not too late to save it all
Entrust your God with the fall
Realize you have done some wrong
Change your life and sing His song

Now you know of the spirit
Listen, and actually hear it
Hug your wife and give her love
And thank the one seated above
